I'm thankful for music & singing!

I believe Martin Luther said (somewhere at sometime): Next to theology, music is God's greatest gift to mankind (someone who knows where that quote came from, help a brother out here!). Rarely does a Sunday go by that I don't think that and thank God for music. There are many way to worship God, but singing is one of the most expressive forms.

Yesterday's Lord's Day found us singing these songs:

"Hide Away In the Love of Jesus" by Steve & Vikki Cook
"No God But God" by Bob Kauflin
"Rock of Ages, Cleft for Me" by Augustus Toplady & Bob Kauflin
"Jesus, Thank You" by Pat Sczebel
"Receive the Glory" by Bob Kauflin

If you know anything about praise songs and choruses, you can see a very clear Sovereign Grace Music influence here at Cornerstone.

Of these, I think I truly like "Jesus, Thank You" the most. It expresses so much doctrine in just a short time, as well as our thanks to our Lord.

Thank you, Lord, for music. Thank you for being worthy of song.

Leave your thoughts here, but keep in mind, they could get lost in mine!
