MacBook Pro

Crashed Mac02
My old iBook finally bit the dust just prior to Thanksgiving... quite literally. I was trying to carry too many things out to my car, the iBook was under my arm and slipped out... hitting the concrete floor of our garage. Disaster! Fortunately, I had a back-up of everything from within the last couple of weeks prior to the wreck. But no replacement would be in sight for quite some time due to budgetary constraints.

I tried to take this devastation in stride and trust the Lord for things far more meaningful and important than a laptop computer. Yet it was putting a bit of a crimp in my working style.

Then along comes grace in the form of my incredible family. Ann, Rebecca, her husband, Devon, Jonathan and Elizabeth all gave me the gift of a new Apple MacBook Pro for Christmas. I ordered it Christmas morning and it arrived on the Wednesday after. Good timing, since I take the week between Christmas and New Year’s as vacation almost every year, this would allow me to get things all set up the way I want on the new MacBook.

I am so thankful for a family who cares. They are a blessing. Thanks to one and all!

  1. Hi Kevin. Forgive me for leaving this comment on this particular blog post, but I couldn't find a way to send you a message otherwise. I am a contemporary Christian romance author and saw your recent review of another Christian romance author's book (four novellas). Your comments and challenge to authors of my genre, in particular, intrigued me. I wanted to encourage you to take a look at one or more of my books (whether for yourself or your wife). I'm concerned with the trends in some of the wildly popular and publicized "Christian" fiction. In my humble opinion, we are leaving Christ out of it to a troubling extent. The Lord has blessed my efforts and I know He's getting my books into the hands of those who need to read them. That's all I can ask. It's a privilege and an honor to write for His glory. If you care to reach me, you can leave a message for me via my website at www.joanndurgin.com and I have an Author JoAnn Durgin page on Facebook. Many blessings to you, Kevin. Happy New Year!

  2. Greetings! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform
are you using for this site? I'm getting sick and tired of Wordpress because I've had issues with hackers and I'm looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
